Does God Exist?
A clear look at logic, science, and religion
Let’s Start Simply
The question “Does God exist?” is something almost everyone thinks about. You don’t need to be religious to ask it. This article won’t preach — it simply looks at shared facts: the universe, science, and our sense of right and wrong.
- Logic – What common sense tells us
- Science – And where it reaches its limits
- Holy Books – Qur’an, Bible, Torah
- Meaning – Why justice and purpose matter
1. Logic: Everything Has a Cause
Nothing appears from nowhere. A painting needs a painter. A building needs a builder. Every effect has a cause.
Science confirms the universe had a beginning. Before it, there was no time, space, or matter. If the universe began, something must have caused it.
Asking “Who created God?” is like asking “What’s north of the North Pole?” — it misunderstands the definition.
2. Science: A Finely Tuned Universe
The universe is precisely calibrated for life. If gravity or atomic forces changed slightly, stars and life would not exist.
- Necessity — no known law explains it
- Chance — astronomically unlikely
- Design — a reasonable explanation
Even many non-religious scientists admit: fine-tuning remains unexplained.
3. Religion: Three Books, One Message
The Qur’an (Islam)
“Were they created from nothing? Or did they create themselves?” (Qur’an 52:35)
The Bible (Christianity)
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
The Torah (Judaism)
It teaches a purposeful universe created by a wise and moral God.
4. Questions Science Can’t Answer
- Why is there something instead of nothing?
- Why do physical laws exist?
- Why do humans believe in right and wrong?
If morality is only chemistry, nothing is truly wrong. If God exists, good and evil are real.
Final Reflection
Belief in God is not blind faith. It’s a logical conclusion that explains origin, order, and meaning.
If God does exist — what would that change for you?
